Dave Lucas holds a degree in art from Western Washington University and has been a professional potter and pottery instructor. Mr. Lucas owns and operates "Gallery West" a contemporary gallery of art and craft located in Bellingham, Washington. Gallery West has been nominated as one of the top 100 craft galleries in the United States by 'Niche Magazine'. Mr. Lucas has traveled to Mata Ortiz and has visited a number of the top potters and photographed their pottery making process.
